A Fall Engagement Session at McDade Park in Scranton

I recently photographed Lauren and Kyle’s engagement session at McDade Park in Scranton. These two are high school sweethearts with an easygoing, down-to-earth vibe, and they wanted a simple, nature-focused session that felt true to who they are.

Lauren told me beforehand, “We are very simple people. I’d love for the photos to be very natural and capture how we feel when we spend time together. We are always laughing.” Keeping this in mind, we aimed for candid, relaxed shots that would show their connection without feeling posed.

Lauren & Kyle nailed their formal & casual outfit choices — complementing each other but not matching. We wandered through the park, stopping whenever something felt right — a clearing on the hillside, a trail outlined with a rustic fence, and a cozy bench overlooking the pond. Lauren and Kyle were constantly making each other laugh, which made capturing those authentic moments sooo simple.

This session was a reminder that the best photos often come from just letting people be themselves. Lauren and Kyle's love for each other came through in every shot, and they had me smiling the whole time while editing their gallery.
